Gail W. Puckett

Mrs. Ondrea “Gail” White Puckett, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Cumberland Co. on April 24, 1949, the daughter of the late Hassel White and Lannie Carolyn Hawks Rorrer. Gail was a former member of East Bend Primitive Baptist Church and currently attended Cedar Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain. She loved old westerns, especially the “Rifleman and Gunsmoke.” Gail also enjoyed traveling to Upstate New York to see her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Puckett; and a sister, Brenda Stewart. Gail is survived by her husband of 59 years, Billy Puckett; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Holt; two grandchildren, Brandi Joyce (Alan) and Kenneth Puckett (Kayla); five great-grandchildren, Ethan Joyce, Leah Joyce, Kaven Joyce, Daphne “Duck” Joyce and Kallum Puckett; three siblings, Carolyn Surber, James White (Dolly) and Mark Rorrer (Dorrine); two sisters-in-law, Brenda Beman and Carrie Peglow, her favorite niece and nephew, Marie Becker (Harold); two special coworkers, Constance Parks and Benny Merle; and neighbors, Joe Frazier and Pat and Don Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Cedar Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Becker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 prior to the service at Cedar Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
