Garcie McCoy McCall

Mr. Garcie McCall passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013. He retired from Krispy Kreme Doughnut with 45 years of service. He was a wonderful husband, father and father-in-law. Garcie was a genius with making patents for Krispy Kreme Doughnut, which he had a total of nine patents and was also in a book titled ""Making Dough"". He was also a Past Master of Salem Masonic Lodge 289 and was currently a member of the King Masonic Lodge. He loved volunteering at the Forsyth Cancer Center. He loved his church and was a faithful member of Rural Hall Moravian Church, where he sang in the Choir. Garcie also worked part-time at Freedom Mobility for about seven years. He will truly be missed by all of his loved ones and friends. Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sharron and Monica McCall. Mr. McCall is survived by his loving wife, Ruth H. McCall. One daughter and special son-in-law, Elizabeth McCall Lancaster (David). Two sisters; Doris (Garland) Shook of Shallotte, NC and Margaret Ann McCall of Texas. His special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mattie and Raeford Smith, Kaye and Paul Hill, Peggy Hill and May Belle Hill. Two special God Children; Baron Grindstaff and Paul Isaccson. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. McCall will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Rural Hall Moravian Church in Rural Hall by Rev. Steve Craver. Burial will follow at Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery in Germanton. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 P.M. at the Rural Hall Moravian Church following the committal service on Friday December the 27th. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Thursday evening December 26th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Rural Hall Moravian Church Choir Fund, 7939 Broad Street, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
