Garland Spencer Sheets, Jr.

Garland Spencer Sheets, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on November 22, 2014. Garland was born on January 10, 1944 to Garland Spencer Sheets, Sr. and Effie Irene Wooten Sheets in Forsyth County. He was self-employed in the field of home improvement. A devout Christian, Garland cherished his Bible and his church. He loved the country. Horses, coon-hunting, trucks and tractors made him happy. He was also an avid collector of clocks and all sorts of antiques. Surviving are his three children, Guy, Paige, Scott, and grandchildren; as well as beloved brothers and sister, Richard Sheets, Gary Sheets, and Cindy Holder. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Christopher Burcham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
