Garland Paige Anderson, Jr.

Mr. Garland Paige Anderson, Jr., 90, passed away at Trellis Supportive Care on Thursday, December 27, 2018. He was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on March 30, 1928 to Garland Paige Anderson, Sr. and Ruth Lynch Anderson. Garland played professional baseball and loved to play golf. He graduated from the University of Tennessee. Garland served in the Navy and retired from R.J. Reynolds with over 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Adams Anderson. Surviving family includes a son, Terry Anderson; daughter, Sherry Ramers and husband, Douglas; grandson, Adam Ramers; sister, Dorothy Wilson; brother, Donald Anderson; and lots of nieces, nephews, and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel with Preacher Eddie Brackett officiating. Mr. Anderson will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Chapel.
