Gary Eugene Hudson

Gary Eugene Hudson,79, passed away on April 29^th2024, surrounded by his family. He was born December 27^th, 1944, in Stokes County to the late Clayton and Virginia Dalton Hudson. Gary was a native of Pilot Mountain and was well known in the area by many. Gary graduated from East Surry High School.  He enjoyed his career as a wallpaper hanger of 52 years and meeting many wonderful people that became great friends. In his spare time, he loved playing golf, at the beach, and being with his family and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bernard Hudson and daughter Jennifer Brim. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shelva Jean Edwards Hudson; one daughter, Tonya Mozeley (Jay); son-in-law, Jim Brim; sister, Kaye Burch (Don); Brother, Larry Hudson (Marilyn), nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Paul Sisk officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pilot Mountain Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
