Gary West

Mr. Gary Vann West, 66, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 19, 2023. He was born to the late Roger Marshall West and Alene Barnett West on July 26, 1956 in Jefferson County, Alabama. Gary graduated with his bachelor's degree in the class of 1978 after attending UNC Charlotte. He went on to continue an ongoing career in the automotive industry. He held the titles of co-owner and manager from different dealerships he worked at throughout his career. Gary loved NASCAR and would always have a great time sitting down and watching the races. In his free time, he was often found riding his motorcycle or spending time with his beloved dogs. He will forever be dearly missed and remembered as a simple man. In addition to his parents; Gary is preceded in death by his only son, Scott Vann West. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores West; and two brothers, Dave West, and Warren West (Dianne). A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Novant Health Cancer Institute, 1010 Bethesda Court, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
