Gaynell "Bunny" Slater

Gaynell “Bunny” Yarbrough Slater a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully on May 13, 2025.  Bunny was born December 21, 1946 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Wade and Myrtle Yarbrough. Bunny was preceded in death by Her father Wade, mother Myrtle, sister Carol (Cookie) and brother Wade.  Bunny was known for her nurturing sprit and enjoyed doing crafts and cooking, baking, and enjoying her birds and flowers but above all she loved her God, Her husband, Robert “Bob” Slater of 61 loving years, and children Carol Holland (Mike), Robert Slater (Kim), and Richard Slater (Stacy), a very special grandchild Robert Tysor (Amber) of Las Vegas, NV. Three great grandchildren Kennedy, Porter and Rory Tysor. And grandchildren Cristopher and Ashlyn Slater and one brother, Tim Yarbrough (Bonretta).  She also enjoyed her special fur baby, Mylo.  A special thanks to Tammy Slater and all her friends and family who have supported her through out the years. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2025 at West Bend Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Zak King. The family will receive friends following the service.
