Geneva Hunter

Mrs. Geneva "Jeep" Landers Hunter, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on September 23, 1925 in Madison County, North Carolina to Sampson and Maredia Landers. Jeep attended Dorland Bell Boarding School in Hot Springs, North Carolina later graduating from Brevard College. She was an Executive Secretary at American Enka Company as well as for the City County Attorney in Brevard, NC. She was a faithful member of Reynolda Church. Jeep was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Jeep was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Craig Hunter and her brother, Hayes Landers. She is survived by one son, Craig Hunter (wife, Jacque); two granddaughters, Tracy Lynn Hove (husband, Scott) and Lauren Ashley Golden (husband, Jonny); three great grandchildren, Oscar Wyatt Hove, Fisher Lynn Hove, and Hunter Thomas Golden; and one sister, Imogene Chandler.

A celebration of life for Jeep will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Reynolda Church with Rev. Alan Wright officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reynolda Church at 2200 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the care that was provided to both John and Jeep during their time with Hospice as well as their team of caregivers that so graciously devoted their time and love.
