George Berrier

Mr. George Washington Berrier, 95, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was born on March 2, 1923 to Mary Brinkley Berrier and Andrew Roger Berrier in Davidson County. George was a lifetime member of Enterprise Moravian Church. A WWII veteran, he proudly served in the US Navy. He retired from Proctor Swartz where he was employed as a Supervisor. George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rebecca Florence Miller Berrier; great grandson, Brandon Michael Hege; sons-in-law, David Elwood Hege and Frank Donald Brewer; as well as three brothers and one sister. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Kay Berrier Hege of Lexington, NC, and Linda Gail Berrier Brewer of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Hege Young (Edward) of Lexington, NC; Michael Hege (Debbie) of Lexington, NC; Tammy Brewer Hamm (Martin) of Sapulpa, OK; Donna Hege Mabe of Lexington, NC; nine great grandchildren, David White, Ashley Butcher, Kevin White, Megan McKinnish, Alex Shafer, Thomas McKinnish, Ryan Hege, Austin Young, and Thomas Hamm; five great great grandchildren, Autumn Miller, Warren White, Landan Hege, Alexander Butcher, and Zoey Butcher; and special nephew, Raymond Berrier. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Enterprise Moravian Church with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Enterprise Moravian Church.
