Mr. George William Hardee, age 80, passed away, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Loris, South Carolina May 8, 1935 to the late Bertha Barker and George Melton Hardee. He was a faithful member of Marshall Baptist Church for over 35 years and was a dedicated servant of God. George and his best friend Don David went weekly to visit the sick and share the word of God with others. He specialized in Telecommunications with various companies including Bell South, AT&T, US Air, and Wachovia Bank. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Finkle; Brother Norwood Hardee. He is survived by his wife, Ann Berry Hardee; two sons, Gerry (Phoebe) Hardee, Kevin (Joy) Hardee, and daughter Le'Anna (Jay) Stephenson; in addition, Merri (John) Holmes, Donna (Marvin) Padon, Will (Donna) Berry, Joe (Stacey) Berry, Tom (Christy) Berry; brothers, Wesley (Susie) Hardee, Marion Hardee; three sisters, Maxine (Dot) Bellamy, Verna (Wayne) Ford, Helen (Lloyd) Soles; eighteen grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Marshall Baptist Church with Pastor John Holmes officiating. The committal will follow immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service.
