George William Hauser

Lewisville - Mr. George William Hauser, 82, of Lewisville died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehab. He was born September 9, 1931 in Forsyth County to John Robert and Mary Hutchens Hauser. Mr. Hauser served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Turner's Creek Baptist Church, and former Pastor of Hollow Road Baptist Church, Davis Road, Winston-Salem. Mr. Hauser retired from Piedmont Airlines with 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan David Hauser. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Frances Whitman Hauser of the home; 1 son, W. Tim Hauser of Lewisville; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Kareigh, and Dane Hauser, Michelle Ebsary and Savannah Drake; 5 great-grandchildren, Nichole Hauser, Jonathan and Kalea Culler, Kailynne Keister, and Robert Ebsary. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. David Maynard and Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
