George Silver Mitchell

Mr. George Silver Mitchell passed away Sunday at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Wilkes County On January 27, 1942 to the late Master and Ethel Welborn Mitchell. George is survived by his wife Margaret Wilkins Mitchell; a son Brian Mitchell; daughter Kimberly Mitchell; granddaughter Ashely Mitchell; three sisters Sarah Key (Glenn), Sadie Yeager (Bill), and Wanda Doub; and brother Roger Mitchell (Renee). George was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 3, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Rob Sizemore and Rev. Don Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
