KERNERSVILLE- George Calvin Page, Jr., 82, passed away February 25, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born on October 29, 1943, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, to the late George Calvin Page and Vassey Berry Page.
Mr. Page served in the United States Army in the 173rd Airborne Brigade during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967. After returning home from the service and marrying Jane Biles, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he co-founded Continental Postal Service with his brother. He and Jane later moved to Kernersville, North Carolina, and co-founded Page Construction, where he served as President of the company for many years and was awarded the 1997 Builder Award of Excellence by the North Carolina Home Builders Association. A lifelong avid beekeeper, he later founded American Bee Supply in Kernersville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Harry Page.
Surviving are his wife of many years Jane Biles Page; son George Calvin Page III and his wife Melanie Peele Page; daughter Elizabeth Page Joyner and her husband Dennis Michael Joyner; daughter Mary Jane Scott and her husband Robert Thomas Scott; granddaughter Chloe McKinnon Page; grandson Clayton Weeks Joyner; granddaughter Isabella Marie Joyner; granddaughter Ella Claire Page; grandson Griffin Harrison Joyner; grandson Landon Thomas Scott; granddaughter Salem Page Joyner, and granddaughter Harper Elizabeth Scott; all of Kernersville. He is also survived by his sister Jane Page Allen, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; brother James Earle Page of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, located at 3950 Macy Grove Road, Kernersville, North Carolina 27284, and will be officiated by Pastor Jonathan Robbins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, located at 315 N. Cedar Street, Lincolnton, North Carolina 28092.
