George Richard Scott, Jr.

OAK RIDGE - Mr. George Richard Scott , Jr. age 83, passed away April 18, 2024. Richard was born in Knox County, Tennessee to the late George Richard Scott, Sr. and Ruth Wasson Scott. Mr. Scott was an avid firearms enthusiast, loved to read and fly private planes. Richard got his flying license at age 16. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served as a marksman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John Scott. 

Surviving are his brother, Sam Scott and his wife Cynthia; three nephews, Brad, John, and James Scott; one niece, Lara Scott; and many other special family members. 

Private family services will be held at a later date.
