George W. Walker

Mr. George William Walker, 94 of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Clemmons Village I. Mr. Walker was born June 28, 1914 in Yadkin County, a son of the late Preston Walker and the late Lillie Pinnix Walker. He was the owner/operator of Trivette Auto supply and was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velna Julian Walker in 2006, a sister, Flo Pendergrass and a brother, R.P. Walker. He is survived by his sisters, Foda Wooten, Pearl Sturdivant, Lola Beigel, sister-in-law Kaye Walker and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday August 16, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Hospice Chaplin Teresa Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Dennysville Baptist Church Cemetery, Ronda, NC. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dennysville Baptist Church Cemetery c/o Mitchell Mastin 193 Country Cabin Ln. Ronda NC 28670.
