George Welch Iii

George "Tripp" Clarke Welch, III, 48, passed away, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born Harrisonburg, VA, May 8, 1969 to George Clarke Welch II and Gretchen Wampler. Tripp was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Yacht Club. He loved his family and spending time with his friends. Tripp loved to ride his motorcycle. He was well-loved guy and will be greatly missed.
Tripp is preceded in death by his father, George Clarke Welch II.
Surviving are his wife, Terri Welch, of twelve years; son, Trevor Welch; mother, Gretchen Welch; in-laws, Robert and Melba Tomlin; and sisters-in-law, Pam Lockheart (husband, Eric) and Cindy Hall (husband, Matt).
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:30PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
