Georgia Branch Edmonds

Georgia Ruth Branch Edmonds, 96, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Yanceyville on June 2, 1927, to the late Pansy Condrey Branch. Georgia was a woman who enjoyed the little things in life. You could often find her playing games with family on the porch. She took pride in her hospitality, and anyone who entered Georgia’s home would be taken care of, she was always making sure everyone was well-fed. She will be remembered as a kind and patient soul who loved her family dearly. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Edmonds.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Linda J. Cook (Roy) of Kernersville, and Brenda S. Harper of Rutherfordton; a son, Teddy D. Edmonds (Sally) of Asheville; eight grandchildren; as well as many special great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kerwin Baptist Church at 4520 Old Hollow Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284.
