Gerald Porter Felten

Gerald Porter Felten (Jerry) passed away on January 12th, 2017. He was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Winston Salem the past 27 years. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Business. He began his career as a salesman for Playtex and rose to Senior Vice President of Sales before retiring. After retirement Jerry's love of people and golf moved him to work and serve in a variety of committees and organizations including St Leo's Catholic Church, the Special Children's School, and the golf committee at Forsyth Country Club. He is survived by his wife Lois of 39 years; his sons, Jason (Jeannie) and Matthew (Kelly); his grandchildren, Madelyn and Nathan; his sister, Kathy Coleman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews from Chicago.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16th, 2017 from 5 to 7pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Pkwy in Winston Salem. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, at 11:00 am at St Leo's the Great Catholic Church in Winston Salem. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, NC 27103 would be greatly appreciated.
