Gerald "Jerry" Edmond Weaver

Mr. Gerald Edmond Weaver “Jerry”, “Paw Paw”, 80, entered into the more immediate presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 13, 2023, after a courageous battle of congestive heart failure. Jerry was born on December 16, 1942, to the late William D. Weaver and Margaret Louise Weaver. He graduated from Northwest High School where he met his High School sweetheart, soulmate and love of his life Linda Speas Weaver, wife of 61 years.  He is survived by daughter Cindy Weaver Arrington (Norm), Sarah Arrington, and Andrew Arrington, son Gregory Weaver, Adam Weaver, Jacob Weaver and great-granddaughter Madeline. He devoted his life to God, beloved family, and church. He faithfully served Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church in various capacities for 62 years including Music Director, Church boards, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir member. He also loved playing his trumpet accompanied by his wife on piano. He loved his family and friends and had many interests including hunting, fishing and fixing anything that was broken. He loved the adventures of traveling and seeing the world as well as camping in the great outdoors. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Wham, Jr. and Rev. Luke Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow immediately after the service. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the love, support, and prayers. Memorials may be made to Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church missions and/or food pantry.
