Gerald Mcclelland

WINSTON SALEM - Gerald Lee McClelland, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his home. Gerald was born on June 21, 1938 in Wabaunsee County, Kansas to Paul and Margaret Romick McClelland. He was one of 10 children and farmed until he went into the US Navy at age 18. Gerald served 20 years in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician, serving for three tours in Vietnam. After military retirement, he worked another 20 years in the mines in Nevada. Gerald was a loving husband and was a big part of his step children and grandchildren's lives.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce M. McClelland; stepchildren, Patrick Eddy (wife, Deena), Paul Eddy (wife, Nikki), Trish Eddy, Karen Kempf (husband, David); a close grandson, Leevi, and many other grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
