Gerald Eugene Parsons

Mr. Gerald Eugene Parsons, 74, passed away on December 28, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on June 29, 1949, in Delaware, the son of the late George and Vera Burcham Parsons. Gerald operated a dump truck business and was a farmer in Delaware. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Parsons and a brother, David Parsons, Sr. Gerald is survived by his three sons, Eric Parsons, Benjamin Parsons (Samantha) and Brett Parsons; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alex, Xavier, Preston, Joshua, Cassandra, Benjamin and D.J.; three sisters, Jane Bespitch (Charles), Connie Alexander (Bill) and Phyillis Griffith (Lacy); two brothers, Jeff Parsons and Russell Parsons (Kathy); and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A gathering or friends and family celebrating Gerald’s life will be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11:00-2:00 at Hope Community Church, 14350 Fancy Gap Hwy., Cana, VA 24317
