Geraldine Willard Granger

Mrs. Geraldine Willard Granger, 84, went to be with the Lord on October 15th, 2016. She was born on December 17th, 1931 to Mary Victoria King Willard and Joseph Franklin Willard and spent her childhood in Yadkinville, NC. Geraldine was a devoted member of South Fork Baptist Church and a 42 year employee of Hanes Hosiery/Sara Lee. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved to spend much of her time in the mountains of Maggie Valley, NC. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her loving husband, EG Granger, and one brother Albert Lee Willard. Surviving are two brothers, Linney Ray Willard of Pinnacle, NC and Billie Franklin Willard of Rural Hall, NC; her children Mary Avant (husband William) of Kernersville, NC, and Robert Edgar Granger (wife Sonia) of East Bend, NC; four granddaughters, Ashley Avant and Crystal Barber of Kernersville, NC, Kimberly Granger and Elizabeth Troutman, of East Bend, NC; and four great grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her family whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with. A graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 at 1:00PM with Pastor Bob Whitaker officiating.
