Geraldine Marler Woosley

WINSTON-SALEM - Geraldine Marler Woosley, passed away December 11, 2014. Geraldine, often known as Gerry (or Meemaw to her loving family), was born August 25, 1922 to Henry Franklin Marler and Cora Apperson Marler. She loved the Lord and her church and was a faithful member of Brookstown Methodist Church of Pfafftown. She was a retiree from Western Electric, Reynolda Road. In addition to Geraldine's parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gaither William Woosley; a grandson, John Wayne Woosley; and eight siblings. Gerry leaves to cherish her memory a son, Gaither Wayne Woosley (Riely) of Pfafftown and two daughters, Sharon Woosley Solomon (Sam) and Phyllis Woosley Rochester (James); three grandsons: Eric (Jackie) Rochester and Daniel (Natalie) Rochester; one step-grandson: John Solomon (Lucie); three granddaughters: Jamie (Kurt) Schneider, Challe (Tom) Hudson, J'nie (Thom) Woosley; one granddaughter-in-law (Stacey); four great grandsons; six great granddaughters; three step-great grandsons and many nieces and nephews. Many people were blessed by her cooking and her sweet smile. She will be greatly missed. A service to celebrate Gerry's life will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, with Reverend James T. ""Chip"" Webb, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family would like to express deep appreciation to staff at Piedmont Home Health Agency, Hospice & Palliative Care Center, and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
