Geroy Cox

Mr. Geroy ""Roy"", ""Pop"" Cox passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Pop was born in Horry County, South Carolina to Henry Denton Cox and Cora Littles Cox. He was a member of Ardmore Moravian Church and retired from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts with over 40 years of service. Pop loved his family, eating with his Bojangles friends every morning, working in the yard, and gardening. In addition to his parents, Pop was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Geraldine ""Jerri"" Cox, his son, Gregory Frazier, two brothers, H. D. Cox and Norton Cox, and a sister Mary Kate Cox. Pop is survived by a devoted daughter, Marsha ""Deannie"" Martin and her husband Alan of Kernersville, NC and his grandchildren, Meridith Martin, Jeanna Martin, Aubrey Frazier Simon (Daniel), Laura Frazer Wilson (Aaron), and Adam Frazier; great grandchildren, Daniel and Victoria Simon, and two sisters, Vienna Teal and Doris Floyd, several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Pop's life will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Ardmore Moravian Church, 2013 West Academy Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
