G. Houston Lawson

G. Houston Lawson, 77, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2019. He was born in Forsyth County to Juanita Thomas Lawson and Theodle Houston Lawson. Houston attended Hope Baptist Tabernacle in Mocksville and was self employed as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl James of Winston-Salem; one son, Tony Lawson of Walkertown; one sister, Sandra Plemmons of Rural Hall; two brothers, Roy Lawson (Ang) of Clemmons and Jerry Lawson (Sue) of Walkertown; three nephews; one niece; one great nephew and a special friend, Faye Thomas of Winston-Salem. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
