Gilbert Franklin Bolin

BOLIN - WINSTON-SALEM
Mr. Gilbert Franklin Bolin passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Minnie Swaim Bolin and James Walter Bolin. Mr. Bolin was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. He retired from AT&T with 25 years of service. He owned and operated Yadkin Box Shop for 29 years and also Bolin's Used Cars in Winston-Salem for 26 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolin was preceded in death by his wife, Wada Kinzer Bolin; and son, Frankin Randall Bolin. Surviving are his daughter, Patricia Lynn Bryant (Jeff); two grandchildren: Chalyn Belle Bryant and Chanler Charles Bryant; brother, James Harold Bolin (Madge); two step-sons: Brian and Mike Edwards; and the mother of his children, Doris Bolin.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Dr. Joey Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial.
