Gilbert Marion Reynolds, Jr., 80, of Winston-Salem, passed away on November 14, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born on November 22, 1944, in Forsyth County, to the late Mr. Gilbert Marion Reynolds Sr. and Mrs. Sarah Shelton Reynolds.
Born and raised with a strong work ethic and a deep love for family, Gilbert lived a life marked by generosity, devotion, and simple joys. He was happiest with a fishing rod in hand or watching a good NASCAR race on a Sunday afternoon. Known as the one who could fix nearly anything, he took great pride in being a handyman and especially loved building furniture.
Gilbert was a faithful member of Faith and Family Baptist Church, where he found fellowship, comfort, and community. Above all, he was a family man who cherished his children, adored his grandsons, and valued his friends like family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, June Boyd Reynolds. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jeff Boyd and James Smith; his daughter, Laura Reynolds; and his grandsons, Zachary Boyd and Jordan Boyd.
A private family service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith and Family Baptist Church, 105 Nathan Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family.
