Gilda Defensor

Mrs. Gilda Echavez Defensor, 72 of Bermuda Run, NC passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  She was born June 24, 1949 in Iloilo, Philippines to the late Jose Echavez and Lourdes Leyritana Echavez.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Defensor, Sr.  Surviving are three sons, Martin Defensor, Jr., Jess Defensor and Angelo Defensor (Ella); one daughter, Febe Saob; Siblings, Nida Bautista, Imelda Juanga, Belinda Latoza (Deceased), Jose Echavez Jr., Susana Ugay, and Venancio Echavez.  A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church by Father James Stuhrenberg.   Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
