Gladys McClamroch Hudson

Advance – Mrs. Gladys McClamroch Hudson, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at her residence. She was born on December 1, 1929, in Davie County to Albert Maurice and Flossie Rights McClamroch. Gladys was a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Amanda Frye and Melissa Pozdniakov.

She is survived by four children, Dianne Lowder (Hilton Jones), Arlene Frye, Penny Mabe (husband, Rick), and Phillip Foster (wife, Lynelle); eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Trellis Supportive Care team for their care of Gladys.

A funeral service for Mrs. Hudson will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Craddock and Pastor Gary Blalock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is assisting the family.
