Glenn Ferguson, Sr.

Mr. Glenn Carson Ferguson, Sr., 71, passed away March 13, 2018 at his home. He was born March 5, 1947 in Randolph County to the late Charles Boyd Ferguson and Sally Robbins Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was owner of Ferguson Tree Service in Greensboro and served the entire Triad area. He loved the sport of drag racing and raced at many tracks including Piedmont and Farmington dragways. He shared his love for the sport with his son and grandsons who continues his legacy today. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia "Skeeter" DeMers and a step-daughter, Rita Stewart. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline Mansfield Ferguson; his children, Dana Paschal (Tommy), Glenn Ferguson, Jr., and Tia Rowe; four step-children; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Charles (Lydia) Ferguson, James (Jean) Ferguson; Linda (Steve) Mabe; Faye Dillon and Ann (Bill) Harlan; He is also survived by special friends, Tony Jones, Don Nelson, Bernard Hall, and David Patrick. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the home of Glenn's daughter, Dana Paschal.
