Mr. Glenn Allen Strickland, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away at home on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Glenn was born in Knoxville, TN, to the late Samuel Ely Strickland and Bertha Lee Helton Strickland. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandpa. Glenn worked for AMP Incorporated as a Tool Engineer up until retirement. Following retirement, he served as a delivery driver for Fleetgistics pharmacy. Where he enjoyed serving the community and forming relationships with his customers.
He proudly served his country briefly in the United States Marines. Glenn was of Baptist faith and a born-again believer. He found comfort in reading his Bible daily.
Glenn had a gift for handiwork and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed working with his hands and his hobbies included fishing, collecting antiques, going to yard sales and repairing watches. He loved his dogs dearly and had a soft spot for the stray cat he took in and fed, despite the occasional attacks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Juliet Strickland; a son, Doug Strickland; a brother, Jerry Strickland; a sister, Sheila McMasters; a son-in-law, Steve Laing; and a brother-in-law, David Spaugh.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Strickland; his daughter, Angie Laing (Jeff Knott); his sister, Tammy Spaugh; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Derrick Propst officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
