Goldie Seymore

Mrs. Goldie "Nana" Smith Seymore, age 91, passed away September 2, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born January 11, 1927 in Claudville, Virginia to the late George Thomas Smith and Evie Culler Smith. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville where she sang in the choir for many years. Goldie was a loving mother and a Nana to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Seymore, and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Daryl Dixon (Beth), and Bradley Dixon; one grandson, Travis Dixon (Jessica); one granddaughter, Kayla Dixon Hall (Cody); one great-grandson, Cooper Dixon; one sister, Ann McCraw (Will), and many special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 Thursday, September 6, 2018 at First Baptist church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Road, Winston-Salem, N.C 27105.
