Gordon Brewer

Colfax – Mr. Gordon Henderson Brewer, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Guilford County to Alton and Dorothy Brewer. After 42 years of service, Gordon retired from Industries of the Blind where he served as an office manager. He was very strong in his faith and loved to listen to Gospel music. Gordon also loved to play Bingo with a special group of friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Brewer and two brothers, Dale and Jimmy Brewer.

He is survived by two daughters, Audrey Hall (husband, Allen) and Laura Brewer; three grandchildren, Autumn, Nolan, and Stephanie Hall; three great grandchildren, Allen, Malin, and Maxton; three sisters, Mary Locklear, Rebecca Brewer, and Dorothy Thrush; a number of nieces and nephews; his special neighbors and friends, Taylor and Reese; and of course, his Bingo buddies.

A memorial service for Gordon will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Drew Grounds officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
