Grace Taylor

Grace Sarahann Cleary Taylor, 101, was called home to be with her Lord on October 12, 2018. She was born in Wilkes County to the late Malcolm and Fannie Cleary and graduated from Traphill High School. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will leave many cherished memories, but a vacancy that can never be filled. Grace enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and flowers as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Taylor, and seven brothers, Garr, Roy, Granville, Barney, Alonzo, Lester and Burr Cleary. Survivors included two children, Kelly Taylor (Phyllis), and Barbara Hepler (Robert); three grandsons, David Hepler (Yurami), John Hepler (Sara) and Cory Taylor (Mandy); five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Michael and Austin Hepler and Ella and Evan Taylor; a brother, Minter Cleary of N. Wilkesboro; a sister, Dorene Pendry of Rural Hall; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. T. Elliot Welch officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park in N. Wilkesboro.
