Grace "Darlene" Tucker

Mrs. Grace “Darlene” Tucker, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, on March 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late David E. Carl, Sr. and Verleine Hayward Carl. Darlene spent much of her life in Washington, D.C., where she worked as an insurance agent for many years. After retirement, she and her beloved husband, John, made their home in North Carolina.

Darlene will be remembered as a loving wife with a sweet and kind spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, John Tucker, of the home, and her brother, David E. Carl, Jr., of Springfield, VA.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Linda Walker for her loving care and assistance over the years.
