Grayling Dewayne Wesley

Mr. Grayling Wes Dewayne Wesley, 66, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at home. He was born on March 22, 1958, in Forsyth County, NC to Leroy and Margaret Mae Wesley.

Mr. Wesley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Wesley; his son, Jeremy Wesley; his twin brothers, Ronald and Donald West; his step granddaughter, Brandee Mabe; and his step grandson, Joshua Cockerham.

He is survived by his aunt, Helen West Smith; his two sisters, Marcia Nathan (Lorenzo) and Hymirian Benton (Michael); his son, Byron Wesley (Amy); his step daughters, Carolyn Myers (Jeff), and Paula Side (Mark); his granddaughters, Jayla Wesley, Cierra Wesley; step granddaughters, Ashley Mann, Patricia Myers, Britanee Mabe; great grandsons, Jayceon Hurst; step great grandsons, Alex Hundley, Kaiden Berry; step great granddaughters, Alexis Aaron, Alysann Mann, Kylee Mabe; two step brothers-in-law, Dewayne Byrd (Marsha), Kem Byrd (Kelly); two step sisters-in-law, Brenda Sharpe, Diane Thronton (Bill); devoted nieces, Shumleita Wesley, Erika Robinson, Kelsey Sanders; devoted friends, Bill Sanders (Jessica); a chosen step mom, Judith Shields; David and Belinda Burnette, and David Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Edna West officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
