Gregory Jarvis

Gregory Brian Jarvis, 54, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 from a stroke.  He was born July 23, 1965 in Winston-Salem, the son of the late Alex and Jo Ingram Jarvis.  He grew up in Winston Salem where he attended Mt. Tabor Middle School and R.J. Reynolds High School. He received a full academic scholarship to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where he graduated with B.S. in Art History. Following college, he pursued a career in Apparel Merchandising. Greg worked for Marithe & Francois Girbaud. He designed his own label, Calamity Jeans, and most recently was the Vice President of Merchandising for Lair Global Solutions. Greg was beloved by his friends and always willing to help others in difficult times.

Greg is survived by his best friend, Phil Lair; his aunts and uncles, Nancy and Jimmy Snow, Mary and David Binkley, Peggy and David Williams, Idalia and Tom Canter, and Barbara Vernon. Also he has many cousins and friends who cherish him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Etta Ingram Jarvis, his father, Alexander Jarvis, and his grandparents.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem with Dr. Neil Routh officiating.
