Mr. Greig Louis Radford, 50, of Clemmons, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017. It is a tragedy that Greig has left us at 50 years young. His overwhelming love will last us all a lifetime, but we are all devastated that he is not here to love us. Greig was the most awesome man that God made human to love his wife, children, and friends.
Greig was born November 21, 1967 in California. He spent most of his childhood in Wyoming. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 5 years. Greig was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Greensboro, where he led Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. Every moment he spent among those he cherished was most important to Greig. A wonderful father, his children are the light of his life, and he brought joy and happiness to every child he knew. Greig was known for his goofy sense of humor and wild socks, that could plaster a grin on the face of children and elders alike. Greig was a cherished manager and friend in IT at Krispy Kreme for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold D. Radford and his sister, Bernie Horrocks.
Left to cherish Greig's memory are the love of his life, wife, Lynn Garwood Radford; son, Natan Arthur Radford; daughter, Madison Celeste Radford and "second daughter", Cassidy Garwood; known as "Greig Sam Buster" among his mother, Joy Sims; "second dad" Art Sims; sister and best friend, Chris Taylor; godsons, Tommy Allen, Ruffin Scartocci and Titus Fischer; goddaughters, Kristy Horrocks and Myria Holt; nieces and nephews, Tommy, Myria, Caitlin, Kristy, Shaun, and Megan; and his beloved dog, Cody.
A celebration of Greig's life will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 7 pm at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 310 S. Tremont Drive, Greensboro, NC 27403 with Pastor Joshua Haugen officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chen, Ashley, Michelle, and the nurses of Forsyth 9 West and the cancer center for their friendship and support of Greig during his treatment, even as he strutted like a chicken with a glove on his head and picked on you incessantly. Greig's life left a legacy of love, fun, joy, and peace that will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the fund that Greig started, Ebenezer Lutheran Church - Bell Fund.
