Grover Clarence Pressley, Jr.

Mr. Grover Clarence Pressley, Jr., 88, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Clemmons, NC.

Grover was born on June 14, 1937, to Grover Clarence Pressley Sr. and Verline Ballard Pressley, in Buncombe County, NC.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a supervisor with R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

While Grover enjoyed golfing and fishing, his first love was Jesus Christ and his family.

Grover is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Crouch Pressley; daughter, Dana Pressley Jordan; grandson, Nicholas Jordan; parents; brother, Joseph Pressley; and sister, Dorothy Browning.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Pressley Clark (Ricky); grandchildren, Ryan Tuttle, Jay Clark, Chris Jordan, and Zach Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Riley Clark, Abby Tuttle, Lilly Tuttle, Ellie Tuttle, Allyson Jordan, Luke Jordan, and Benjamin Jordan.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, officiated by Pastor Charlie Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Grover’s name to the American Children’s Home, 3844 NC-8, Lexington, NC 27292, or the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
