Grover Sizemore

Mr. Grover Lee Sizemore, 77, went to be with the Lord November 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1940 in Surry County to the late Floyd Allen Sizemore and Mittie Childress Sizemore. Grover proudly served 24 years in the United States Navy. After retiring from the navy, he went to work for Salem Steel in Winston-Salem as a welder. Later, he went to Insteel in Mt. Airy where he finished his career. He made his home in King, N.C. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sizemore of 42 years. He is survived by two sons, Mark Collins, Randall Sizemore; one daughter, Tanya Sizemore; six grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Amanda Sizemore, Justin Sizemore, Luke Sizemore, Taylor Sizemore, and Alexis Sizemore; one great-grandson, Payton George; one sister, Mary Coleman, and several nieces and nephews. In memory of Grover, the family will receive friends Wednesday evening, November 15, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
