Gwendolyn Idol

Gwendolyn Lois Jarvis Idol, 73, passed away September 15, 2018 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born April 5, 1945 in Forsyth County to the late Sanford Clifton Jarvis, Sr. and Martha Marie Flippin Jarvis. She loved sewing, camping and her chickens.  She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and an all-around wonderful person. Mrs. Idol is survived by her loving companion of 22 years, Clarence Long; two daughters, Terri Lynne Dzoba and Melissa Austin; a son, Jimmy “Gray” Plemmons, Jr.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Sandy Jarvis; a special niece, Audrey Dix, who has faithfully cared for her through this journey. A funeral service will be held at       2:00pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Pastor Billy Jarvis and Chaplain Sandy Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
