Mr. Hal Dockery, 64, of Advance went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born December 19, 1949 in Forsyth County to Jewell Dempsey and Dorothy Robertson Dockery. Mr. Dockery spent most of his life working as a plumber and pipe fitter. He also served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother; his baby sister, Tammy Dockery and a daughter, Angela Dockery. Surviving is his sister, Brenda Seats (Ricky) and a special nephew Ty Dockery, all of Advance; three daughters, Amy Green (David) of Concord, Jamie Dockery of Kernersville and Ashley Dockery of Winston-Salem; a son, Jeremy Dockery (Ximena) of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren and one great grandson, Bransen Connelly. He loved them all in a very special way. He is also survived by his dad, Jewell D. Dockery of Morganton. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Dr. Ron Baity officiating. Burial will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
