Hallie Miller

Fuquay-Varina - Hallie Willette Medlock Miller, 74, formerly of Kernersville, NC, went to spend eternity with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Willette was born November 6, 1943 in Greenville County, SC to the late Nathaniel "Nat" Medlock and Hallie Black Medlock. She is a graduate of Fairforest High School, class of 1962. Willette had battled illness for several years, and she passed away peacefully in Cary, NC, surrounded by her family. Willette loved to cook for her family and friends, was always beautifully dressed, was an expert shopper, and an internationally renowned Christmas decorator. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Willette was sweetly reunited in Heaven with her son, Eddie Miller, who preceded her at age 17 on December 7, 1987.
Willette is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter Eugene "Gene" Miller of Fuquay-Varina, NC; son, Nathan Miller (wife, Louanne) of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren Reese Miller (wife, Rachel) of Apex, NC; Cameron Miller and Hallie Miller of Willow Spring, NC; and brothers John Richard Medlock and Evans "Bud" Medlock of Greer, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Apex Baptist Church, 110 S. Salem Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made in Willette's honor to any local Rescue Mission.
