Hannelore von Tresckow-Napp

Hannelore von Tresckow-Napp passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at 3:24 AM. She was born May 5, 1927in Hannover, Germany and was educated in Bayreuth and Muenchen, she met her husband, Ralph at the university as a graduate student.
She taught at the University of Maryland overseas, East Carolina University and Durham Academy. After moving to Winston-Salem she went into real estate, built her office building downtown- long before it became popular to make that move- she loved the city. After her retirement she had the time of her life- moving to Istanbul, Turkey while her husband taught at Bogazici University. She loved the Turkish people, their culture and their magnificent architecture. Returning to Winston she devoted her life to the family and her adorable grandchildren. She loved to travel and having friends over for dinner, conversation and laughter. She traveled extensively all over the world with her husband and their children and they all enjoyed experiencing new cultures and more.

The memory of her beloved Germany was always close to her heart. She is survived by her son, Ralph, Jr. of Mooresville, NC; her daughter, Winifred-Alice Morley and husband, Harry Clare Morley, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; her brother, Helmuth Rath and wife, Elsbeth of Bayreuth, Germany and her beloved four grandchildren, Derek, Leslie, LoLo and Tres. She will be buried in the family grave in Bayreuth, Germany with her husband of more than 60 years.
