Harlie Barnie Melton

Mr. Harlie Barnie Melton, 84, passed away September 18, 2026, at Hospice of High Point. He was born in Carroll County, VA on August 7, 1942, to the late Glenn Rube Melton, and Irene Beamer Melton. Harlie was in the first full graduating class of Page High School and was a Navy Veteran who met the love of his life in California when he got out of the military. He retired from Colonial Pipeline after 30 years of service. He had a love of antiques and classic cars. He was a very sweet, kind, and genuine man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Letty Riley Melton.

Left to cherish his memory are; two sons, Craig and Gary Melton, five grandchildren; Ryan, Rylie, Reece, Reagan, and Jordan.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Greg Mullis and Rev. Todd Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service in the chapel.
