Harold Brooks

Mr. Harold Gray Brooks, 88, passed away on February 4, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center due to the complications of COVID-19. He was born on February 21, 1932 to the late Gilmer and Ida Brooks. In addition to his parents Harold was predeceased by his second wife Gladys B. Brooks. Those left to cherish his memory are his first wife Nola Teague Brooks; daughters, Becky Sanderford (Hugh) and Sherri Brooks; grandson, Lee Cleary (Jessi); daughter, Tina Sisk (Tom); and grandsons Brandon Allen (Nicki) and Eric Allen. He proudly served in the U.S. Army early in life and later worked over 30 years at RJ Reynolds. After taking early retirement he remained friends with many people he met at RJR. Harold was an active member at Providence Moravian Church and served on the board and as a deacon. Golf was his favorite activity. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lindsey Farthing who helped with Harold’s care. A private family service will be held at Providence Moravian Church.
