Harvey Leon Merritt

Harvey Leon Merritt, 51, of Winston-Salem died April 14, 2010. Mr. Merritt was born November 10, 1958 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Aubrey T. Merritt, Sr. and the late Lillian Craver Merritt. Mr. Merritt was employed by Yellow Cab Company in Winston-Salem. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Merritt. He is survived by his sister, Jeannie Merritt; brothers, Aubrey Merritt, Jr. and wife Mary, Ricky Merritt and wife Virginia, Jim Merritt and wife Cindy; nieces and nephews, Dee Dee Bodenheimer and husband Scott, Lisa Merritt, Elvie Merritt, Andrew T. Merritt, Amber Berg, Paul Berg, Michael Berg, Chris Merritt, and Tena Merritt; his aunt, Louise Jester; and many greatly loved great-nieces and nephews and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 20, 2010 with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
