Harvey Morris Money, Jr.

Mr. Harvey Morris Money, Jr., 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born in Forsyth County, on February 21, 1949 to the late Harvey Money, Sr., and Rosa Mae Granger Money. He graduated from Parkland High School, Winston-Salem, in 1968. Morris grew up attending the Moravian Church, then converted to Catholicism in 2002. He enjoyed building model airplanes and woodworking. Morris served our country in the United States Marines Corps. during the Vietnam War and later in the Army Reserves. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and husband. He was preceded in death by his wife (from whom he was separated), Donna Hill Money; and his beloved cat, ""Jesse."" Morris is survived by two sons John and Matt Money; two grandchildren Theron and Camden Money; a sister Lynn Money of Livermore, CA; one uncle and various cousins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
