Hazel Kanniard Farley

KERNERSVILLE- Ms. Hazel Marie Kanniard Farley, 86, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. Hazel was born on June 28, 1938, to Mr. Lee Kanniard and Mrs. Eva Marie Jacob Kanniard in Delaware County, Ohio. She lived life to the fullest and filled her days with several different hobbies. Among the things Hazel enjoyed were: bowling, sewing, quilting, baking, and crafting. She especially enjoyed traveling with Yadkin Tours and serving the community. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, John, Roger, and Larry Kanniard.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris Fitzpatrick (Harold Surrett, Jr.), and Sandy Glossenger (Dale); nine grandchildren, Desmond, Amber, Ryan, Ross, Sean, Taylor, Dean, Camryn, and Leah; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Howard and Charlotte Life; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society: 1901 Brunswick Avenue #100, Charlotte, NC 28207. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
