Hazel Grubbs Fishel

Mrs. Hazel Grubbs Fishel, 88, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 22, 2013. She was born March 11, 1925 in Forsyth County to Cromer and Emma White Grubbs. She was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Fishel; a son, Samuel; one granddaughter, Sherry Gibbs Paone; one grandson, Mark Parks; two sisters, Agnes Fishel and Ruby Vanhoy and two brothers, C.L. Grubbs and Odis Grubbs. Surviving are three daughters, Rachel Gibbs (Ronald) of Searcy, AR, Edna Etheridge (Gatewood) of Cartersville, GA, Rebecca Williams (Jimmy) of Midland, NC and a sister, Betty Percival of Winston-Salem, NC. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the funeral service following. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
